Late payment is one of the biggest problems for small businesses and freelancers.
Ask for a deposit before starting. Split large projects into milestones. Put the due date on each invoice and say what happens if payment is late, such as a small fee or paused work. Write the currency and the payment method in the agreement.
Tip: send the invoice the same day you finish a milestone.
