Most business deals are now signed on a screen. Many countries accept electronic signatures for common contracts.
Use a method that shows who signed and when, such as a signing service or a signed PDF sent by email. Save the final signed copy in a safe place. Some documents, like certain property papers, may still need paper signatures, so check local rules.
